Liffey Faces is the first in a new series of lunchtime screenings of short films portraying life in Dublin in the 1970s from the IFI Irish Film Archive. The films, all made by members of the Guinness Film Society, are from the IFIs vast collection of shorter films – professional and amateur, educational and informational, travelogues, sports films and dramas – all providing a unique insight into Ireland’s social, cultural and film history.
The screenings are all free and will be shown at lunch times.

Plans have been unveiled to create a third cinema in addition to the existing two cinema screens, a major overhaul of the existing public areas, and significant development of the IFI’s Irish Film Archive allowing better access to the archive’s collection for the IFI’s audience, film researchers and students.
