When I was pregnant and buying a car seat I bought one that fit with the buggy I had chosen, one that had Isofix (which I had heard would make life taking in and out car seats so much simpler) and didn’t really think any more about it.

When the time came to buy a forward facing seat for my son I went out to a big name baby store and looked for the most comfortable seat, one that could recline and didn’t look too bulky. I didn’t really think too much about safety or moreso subconsciously assumed that they would all have been tested and that one was as safe as the other.
The lady in the shop asked what kind of a car we had and then said yes our chosen car seat would be compatible.
We asked was it complicated to fit the car seat and the assistant took...

There’s no doubt, TriAthy was our biggest day out as a club so far. But for many people next Saturday is just as important. Right now we are hearing stories of primary school children - over 100 of them - training hard for this weekends ‘Laois Childrens Duathlon’.
We are expecting to fill every one of the 150 places we planned for - a plan that we thought ambitious just three weeks ago. Along with parents and local supporters, we are hoping to whip up a sense of occassion at the GAAgrounds this weekend.
We will need a lot of help on the day - while the course is enclosed, safety is a primary concern - so the more help the better. If you are free on Saturday between 9:30 and 1:0pm or just for some time between these hours, then please get in touch with Kevin B (who...
