Eve Taylor Pre-Blended Facial Oil: Delish-Hus AND Beaut.ienomical via Beaut.ie - The Irish Beauty Blog, Aug 10th, 2009 at 14:30

image It’s no secret I’m a big fan of facial oils, slathering them on at all and every opportunity, and some of my favourites I know I’ve rhapsodised about a time or twenty on the blog. Hello Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate. My routine is packed full of oily treats: I’ve cleansed for years now with various forms of solid and liquid oils and I won’t lay down to sleep at night without a face-full of something lovely and protective.  I genuinely attribute my almost line-free complexion to their nourishing, hydrating ways, and I’m always on the lookout for something new too. Tesco’s bNatural oil disappointed, but Eve Taylor’s Pre-Blended Facial Oils are more than coming up trumps. I met Eve a while ago - remember the liver legs discussion? - and her... Similar posts

Cold Weather Skin Savers: Um, How Do You Use Facial Oils? via Beaut.ie - The Irish Beauty Blog, Nov 27th, 2009 at 12:00

image We had a big series last winter on cold weather skin-savers and now that it’s bloody fecking freezing outside, it’s BACK! Oh yes, back with some new recommendations and tips for keeping your hide hydrated in brrrr-style weather. However, knowing the current bananas state of the Irish climate, it could well be 20c tomorrow and we’ll all be lashing on the factor 50 again. Anyone remember when we used to have seasons? I do, sigh. Moving on to matters at hand, I know every time we write about plant-based facial oils (this is not about baby oil or other petroleum-derived oils), we get lots of questions about them. Oils are great moisturisers and can be incredibly nourishing and soothing on the skin and they’re an excellent choice for winter. Here are a few of the... Similar posts

Beaut.ienomics: bNatural Organic Facial Oil at Tesco via Beaut.ie - The Irish Beauty Blog, Jun 19th, 2009 at 15:30

image Facial oils can often be pretty spendy prospects, and even my recession-friendly approach to switch from Darphin 8 Flower Nectar (over €100) to Liz Earle’s Superskin Concentrate, less than half the price at about €40ish, wasn’t particularly bargain-tastic. 40-odd is still pretty expensive by most people’s standards, so I’ve been looking for something a bit cheaper. Aphrodite and I recently took ourselves into Tesco and spent a fortune stocking up on budget buys - we wanted to see if there was anything decent at that end of the market. I’ve been scoring more misses than hits, I’m sorry to say - but Tesco’s bNatural Organic Facial Oil was one I had high hopes for. It’s under a tenner for 30ml, widely available and has Soil Association... Similar posts

Spend or save? Liz Earle Botanical Body Cream vs Jergens Naturals Ultra Hydrating via Beaut.ie - The Irish Beauty Blog, Jun 3rd, 2009 at 10:30

image It’s no secret that I’m a fan of skincare that’s formulated with natural ingredients, so when Kirstie first gave us a sneak peek at the new Jergens Naturals collection of body lotions a few months back, I was immediately interested. Packed with a lot more than just a few token essential oils, this line actually lives up to its name. Another plant-based skincare line I’m a big fan of is Liz Earle, and her Nourishing Botanical Body Cream is a staple in my bathroom. I don’t think I’ll be giving up that habit any time soon, but I thought it was worth trying out the Ultra Hydrating body moisturiser from the Jergens line just to compare - read on to find out how the two lotions fared… Packaging Both products come in a plastic squeeze tube with a flat... Eve Taylor Aromatherapy Products and Treatments now at Nue Blue Eriu via Beaut.ie - The Irish Beauty Blog, May 13th, 2009 at 15:30

image “Liver legs!” proclaimed gregarious aromatherapist Eve Taylor as she squeezed my porky knees. What on earth was she on about? Well basically, Eve was employing her Systems of Analysis technique, by which she could tell from casting her seasoned eye across my stunning physique that I could do with loosing a stone or three, and that most of my weight collects on my lower body. Yes, I am large of arse, and my pear shape is associated with the liver in her system - so she correctly surmised that I might have a smidge of cellulite, too. True, but she didn’t need to be a genius to work it out, eyes were the only thing required for that.  Systems of Analysis hadn’t really managed to impress me yet, until she sized me up again, looked carefully at my features and said,...
