CORK’S future has been put on hold this week after the Government published details that the stimulus we need to go forward is not available for another two years according to Deirdre Clune, TD for Cork South Central.
Former Lord Mayor of Cork, Deputy Clune said that the Eastern Gateway Bridge is a critical element needed to facilitate the Docklands Development and the delay in funding hinders the economic development of Cork.
“The Eastern Gateway Bridge is a critical element needed to facilitate the Docklands Development. Waringstown batted first on a far from easy pitch. Andy Cousins was missed early on, and stayed with Kyle McCallan to add 65 for the first wicket. On that score McCallan was dropped, then Cousins was lbw to Jeremy Bray for 24. James Hall didn't stay long, also falling to Bray to make it 71-2.
Lee Nelson joined McCallan and the pair batted increasingly fluently as the pitch eased and neither Nazeer nor Albert van der Merwe could quite get it right. Nelson should have been caught on 31, and became increasingly aggressive as his partner...

Had things turned out differently, it would have been the 29th wedding anniversary of Charles and Diana today. Google her name, and she is still providing news stories almost thirteen years after her death.
The Net still abounds with stories that her death was the result of a conspiracy. Motivations advanced for such a conspiracy include suggestions that Diana intended to marry Dodi Al-Fayed, that she intended to convert to Islam, that she was pregnant, and that she was to visit the holy land. Organizations which conspiracy theorists suggest are responsible for her death have included French Intelligence, the British Royal Family, the press, the British Intelligence services MI5 or MI6, the CIA, Mossad, the Freemasons, or the IRA.
Firstly apologies for the freaky photo. Lucy and I have had great fun dressing up over the last couple of days. It’s years since I’ve worn any kind of dress or skirt. The dress above is actually Lucys. I put it on over my jeans and tshirt for the craic!
We’ve been invited to a party and it was beginning to look like I would have to turn up in my wellies and jeans so I had a bit of a panic.
Today was Jono’s computer class so Lucy and I went around Sligo in search of clothing. First of all we tried TK Maxx, there was a dress that looked OK…until I noticed it had a kind of pouch on the front, which would have been wonderful if I was a kangaroo……or I was thinking maybe I could put the dog in the pouch.
Off we went around other shops. No luck....
