image Hello guys and welcome to Evan’s Planet, This is the second Tube Thursday, the first one was two months ago! So let’s begin! This first one is just an ad that reminds everybody about Christmas, it is the Coca Cola Christmas trucks! Probably one of the m0st popular ads on the television, this ad was taken off the air in 2001 until it was brought back in 2007 because to a lot of people, it was the start of Christmas. This second video was an ad made by Think! It was an ad used to test people’s awareness, just count how many passes does the team in white make but did you see the moonwalking bear? Evan out.... Tube Thursday: 24th of September 2009 via (unnamed source), Sep 24th, 2009 at 19:48

image Hello and welcome to Evan’s Planet, my new blog which will have just about anything I want to post about. Today is Thursday and every Thursday (hopefully), I will post my favourite videos from YouTube, so enjoy Tube Thursday. Well, since today is the 250th anniversary of Guinness, I have chosen a Guinness ad. This is an ad for Guinness from 1999, brilliantly directed by Jonathan Glazer. The plot is that a group of surfers are waiting for the perfect wave, these “white horses” turn into real horses and they start to celebrate that they have conquered the wave. It is based upon a painting from 1893 called “Neptune’s Horses”, it also takes bits from the book Moby Dick. Well that’s the video for this week! Take care and also congratulations to... Urgent Review of Dublin ‘Bus Gate’ demanded via Views from the Emerald Isle, Sep 9th, 2009 at 13:08

Dublin city centre businesses have called for an urgent review of the car-free zone at College Green, claiming it has "caused a serious decline in trade".A hastily arranged meeting of business people in the city heard that Thursday night trade in particular has been badly affected by the 'bus gate'. (Thursday is still the day when most Irish people receive their weekly wages, and various social welfare payments are made on Thursdays as well.)The operator of the Brown Thomas car park said that "trade is down 75% in the evenings".The Dublin 'bus gate' came into operation at the end of July, banning private cars from passing Trinity College during morning and evening rush hours.Dublin City Council has promised a review of the situation next January. However, Fine Gael Councillor Gerry Breen... image Hi everybody, Well it’s Thursday. That day of the week when TechnologyGuardian comes out. technologyGuardian 30/07/09 It’s a must read but I guess not EVERYBODY (who is ANYBODY) can get hold of a copy. - We in Tullamore get at least three copies from the-only-newsagent-in-town-that-has-it. - I got mine so I will share (it cost €1 so any contributions will be gratefully accepted) - REM : Set up a donations page on Irish Secure —————————————————— HeadLine : “When the chips are down” - This is all about fabs – chip fabrication plants, and their cost.  Moore’s Law is quoted (please look it up) but the cost of designing a new chip is estimated as... Thursday via I Am Landers, Jul 10th, 2009 at 08:37

image Before we went to the airport we stopped in at Mr & Mrs Duggans to drop the dogs off and have a coffee. Ruairdhrí and I played with scissors and bleach while Helen made coffee and chatted with Brad. The journey to the actually airport was one of the most annoying trips along that road... Ever! The car in front decide it didn't like travelling at 100kmph, which was the limit for that road, but would rather travel at a speed between 70 and 80kmph but even then he kept hitting the breaks for no good reason! Before anyone says it, I know it's a 'limit' not a 'target' but in Ireland nearly every road has a hard shoulder and we get lovely public service announcements on the tevalision telling us that if we're going slow or the car behind wants to pass then pull into the shoulder. Did he?... Similar posts

I’ve only got one thing to say- via David O'Keeffe.com, Jul 2nd, 2009 at 15:40

image And, I must gloat about it. I'm seeing Brüno tonight. Many days before it arrives in cinema. Am I excited? Hell yeah. Will I love it? Most definitely. I've been waiting for months to see it. So, whilst you sit at home, eating Popcorn and having a beer later on, I'll be laughing my guts out like I did when I first saw 'Borat'. Seriously? I encountered many a moment where I was laughing so hard, I couldn't catch my breath. Surely you know the feeling. No doubt it will be the same tonight. Sorry about the shameless bragging, but I am just that excited. P.S. You did hear that Sasha Baron Cohen is coming to live in Ireland, and that he apparently duped two Irish personalities in the film. We'll have to wait and... Similar posts

thursday garden guest time… via Peter Donegan landscaping Weblog, Oct 28th, 2008 at 16:18

image over at twitter the suggestion came up to have some guest writers on the doneganlandscaping weblog. People seemed quiet pleased with the suggestion ;). So we made a few rules. It had to be relevant to horticulture of any nature, type, size or style and it had to be personal… Titled ‘gardens - what I like about….’ This was the green-day for those who generally wouldn’t consider themselves so. The offers came in unusually very easy and so every Thursday 10 guest writers will write ‘their’ little piece with their photographs of a moment they had with something that photosynthesised. Just remember it your post and your happy thought…. enjoy! The 10 writers are: Thursday 30th October -Ángel Luis González Fernández alias bohoe [www.bohoe.com]... Similar posts
