A couple of weeks ago we announced that we would be opening a UK office and with staff on the ground and our first client work being done we thought it would be a good idea to compile a video with all the latest numbers in the UK. Our friends in TORA helped us with the research on this piece and the very talented James Doherty animated it for us. The video is a really great snapshot of just how important social media is becoming in the market place and how brands and businesses are starting to embrace it for real commercial gains. It was fun to make and will hopefully introduce us to the UK market and open a couple of doors for us. Let us know what you think…

Welcome to episode 6 of the Zesty Show! An exciting week for us in our show, when we got a mention from the wonderful Tim Lovejoy on Twitter. Unfortunately we couldn’t incorporate his suggestions this week, but we’ll be working on it! This week we’re talking about Flipboard, which has got Fagan in a bit of a tizzy. We’re also looking at Ford’s decision to launch their latest car online, through Facebook. What do you think? Don’t forget to tell us what you think of the topics discussed in the comments below. And apologies as we said we’d be on itunes but unfortunately we’re not yet! Enjoy the show and have a lovely weekend

As you know it’s been an exciting few months at Simply Zesty and we are very proud to announce the new head of our UK office – Duncan Birch!
Duncan will be heading up the office in London and we are very excited to have him join us in SZ towers. Duncan brings with him a wealth of experience in online marketing, email marketing and SEO and is incredibly excited about being more involved with social media.
In his own words
“Having been an early adopter of Twitter since it’s inception racking up over 15,000 tweets. I have been increasingly interested in the growth of Social Media and how it is changing the way businesses need to utilise Social Networks for increased engagement with the people that matter – their customers who are now using these platforms more...

This week on the zesty show we have the lovely background back and are in a rain forest to talk about Google me and all the speculation that goes with it, the latest round in the browser wars and a bogus Twitter account from one of rugby’s most famous ever players Jonah Lomu. This is the fourth week of the show and feedback so far has been good but do make sure to get involved in the discussion yourself in the comments if there is any feedback that you have or if you simply want to challenge any of the thoughts on the stories above. It would be great as well if you could help us by subscribing to the channel on Youtube which is the main place to find the show. Enjoy

52 Burrito Dates Gets A Mention
So this week we have some interesting topics to talk about including The Times Online charging for content, a brilliant blog called 52 burrito dates and Clicqset. You might also notice that we don’t have a beach behind us this week but don’t worry that is only a one week thing as we blew a light just before going in front of the green screen. As you can see the show is also now on Youtube which is going to be much easier for people to find and if you want to keep up to date you can always head over to over channel and subscribe so as you never miss a show. Things are pretty busy this week but we promise by next week you will be able to download the show from iTunes, the idea is to make it a little better each week. As always let us know what you...

Introducing episode 2 of the Zesty Show! Up this week – some more vuvuzelas, Bing Entertainment & Spotify. You’ll note that the title of ‘The Fagan Show’ didn’t stick, despite a few people supporting this! Namely Fagan himself. You’ll also notice that Tom is absent from the show this week, but for all his fans out there, we assure you he’ll be back in full swing next week.
We really would love you all to get involved in the comments, tell us your thoughts on the topics we discussed, general thoughts or anything in particular you’d like to see on the show.
I would also like to let you know that this week’s show is suitable for a younger audience, as I have made sure to keep my language in check!

You all know that I have made lots of videos in the last couple of years but I thought it was about time that we got some of the others from Simply Zesty out in front of the camera. So it was with much cajoling that Tom, Lauren and Niall Fagan all sat down on our Simply Zesty beach for the first ever Zesty show. We are actually looking for a name for the show and would love it if you guys could suggest a couple of names in the comments and also give us honest feedback and topics you would like to see appear on upcoming shows. The format is simple in that the guys pick a couple of social media topics and have a very casual discussion around those topics. If you guys like it the show will come out every Friday at 12 ad you’ll be able to get it via download, iTunes, Youtube etc. So sit...

We always try and think a little differently as a company so with that in mind we thought it would be pretty cool to have a little competition to crowd source the design of our new Simply Zesty T Shirts and Hoodies. We want to do something different and have T Shirts and Hoodies that people will actually wear rather than something plain with our logo on them. A fashion statement if you will. We are not really a suit and tie company and the dress sense is very much casual around the office.
So what do we want you guys to do? Well basically get creative and come up with our new designs that will form a key part of the branding of the company and be seen by many. As a small incentive we will be giving the winner a 250 Euro prize but the big incentive is that we will be promoting the winning...

One year ago today Simply Zesty opened for business, and what a year it has been! Having enjoyed a couple of great posts from Contrast and Echo Libre chartering the first year of their companies we thought it would be a great idea to share some of the highlights of our first year in business here on our own blog as life and business can move too fast at times and it can be important to look back and see where you have come from rather than always looking forward. All that we can say is that although there have been a lot of ups and downs over the course of the year we never really thought we would come this far ourselves in just 365 days and we are blown away by the amount of support and the help that so many people have given us to get this far. There have been many sleepless nights,...

We like to do things a little differently here and we like the site to have as much personality as possible. We do it through our writing and the pictures and videos that we share both here and on Facebook but one area that we wanted to look at was the about us page. We always find that these can be the dullest pages on websites with companies writing optimized copy that although ticks all the SEO boxes doesn’t really stand out and is not memorable. With that in mind we decided to make the following little video to introduce ourselves here at Simply Zesty in a more friendly way. Social media is after all about communicating with people and if we are going to be carrying out those campaigns and helping you with your strategy then it is best that you see what we look and sound like!...

A short time ago I made the decision that it was time to make a subtle but important career change. While the previous two and a half years with Cybercom have been absolutely brilliant, teaching me more then I could have imagined and giving me incredible experience working with some of Ireland's top brands, I realised that I would be better suited to focusing all my attention on Social Media and Digital PR.These are the areas of the modern marketing mix that I have the most fun with and, to be honest, the areas that I am best at, and ultimately this is where I want my career to go. So I started looking at the UK and Irish markets to see what was happening. So [cue drum roll], having spoken to a number of different agencies and companies, I have accepted an offer from Simply Zesty and will...
