Do you ever think about Eamon, I've been thinking about him a lot recently. He came along talking about this girl that dissed him, and he wasn't going to let it rest where it rested. And he didn't! Something about yesterdays  Lou Doillon video reminded me of this. Written and starring  Tamara Levinson, directed by Daniel 'Cloud' Campos (that amazing dancer in Shakira's 'Did It Again' video) this video has an almost Chris Cunningham-esque quality. (Okay maybe I'm not the best person to comment on Cunningham's style as when  dragged to one of his sets it was mostly viewed through clenched fingers, when it got to baby alien foetus bit Eliza and I ran outta there leaving the boys behind). This video though I can watch. I can almost feel it. Providing the soundtrack to my week are the addictive Codeine Velvet Club. The Scottish group was formed in 2009 by Lou Hickey and Jon Lawler (aka Jon Fratelli) and they are fast becoming the only thing to get me outta bed in the morning. It's quite easy to see from the video below why the band won the 5th Scottish Style Awards 2009. The style doesn't stop there either as these tunes (and Lou's retro chic) have me yearning for some curve-hugging '50s cut dresses. Check out these beauties from Modcloth. Another great cameo appearance for Gossip Girl (Season 3 episode 9); le groupe du jour Les Plastiscines. Forged from the Parisienne rock movement and queens of the les bébés rockers scene, they first caught Europe’s eye when the featured on the Paris Calling compilation back in April 2007. Since than they have reigned the commercial indie scene with their music being used by not only Topshop ( "Camera") and currently Vodafone ("Barcelona").
